...the freaking muse...

Rae Grimm was born under the name of Verena Grimm someday in late November 1986 in Germany. She has so many nicknames that she always has a problem introducing herself but she is often found as Rae at the internet. She eventually decided to make this her pseudonym because she found out it seems too hard for english-speaking folks to pronounce her true name correctly which is no offense but just a statement.

Writing stories has been a part of her ever since. This has not changed when she first discovered Digital Art in 2000 or Photography as an artistic medium in 2003. She could and would never decide for just one medium although words are her favourite one.

She lives in Germany but has lost her heart in Ireland and plans to follow it some day.

She has a strange humor, drinks too much coffee and has a thing for buying books and storing them in her way too small bookshelves.

She admires Neil Gaiman, Janet Fitch and Francesca Lia Block a lot and could stare at Dave McKean pictures for hours at a time.

The word "morning" does not really exist in her vocabulary because being awake at night is so much better. You better not disturb her when she’s writing and never ask “why?” because she won't give you an answer that you'll understand.

She is a photo design student since 2006 and working to be named in a big anthology of photographers next to artists like Gordon Parks , Anton Corbijn, Richard Avedon, Hellen van Meene, Ellen von Unwerth and Steve McCurry.

Megalomania is just one of her many charming and strange qualities.
